I orderd a 2024 Seltos EX in black (Their standard colour) at the end of april. They told me it would be 3-4 months before i have the car in my possession. Talked to my dealer today about sportage phev coming to Canada and now I wish I didn't lol, they said still no news , and even though Kia Canada said they should be coming Q3 2022 originally, he said from what they've seen with timelines recently that they're expecting to begin seeing them start being delivered in 12-18 months

Ordered (2022 Sorento SX PHEV) in Nov 21 and absolutely no movement; no VIN as of today. Dealership mentioned that Kia gave them new timelines - "For orders made in Nov, expect a tentative delivery timeline around July / August or probably even later" and being that it is getting so delayed Kia apparently mentioned that the "2023 model year will be delivered rather the ordered 2022 model year".

Generally add 4-6 weeks for US/Mexico built cars, and 6-8 weeks for Korean built cars. If the square is GREEN, chances are your order will be a 2023 model. Edited to add that if a dealer has a VIN#, the car is built and is on the way. If there is NO VIN#, the car is NOT built.

I went to a dealership yesterday in Ottawa saying I'm set on the Sportage PHEV. Guy said it's probably going to be 2-3 years since even Sorento PHEV are over a year wait time.. Kia hasn't announced anything for Kia Canada yet in regards to a PHEV. Once they do announce it, I would assume that availability would be at least 3 months later.
